Poros is actually 2 islands connected by a bridge and separated from the mainland by a strait. The larger of the two is Kalavria, which is almost entirely overtaken by the busy resort of Poros Town. The smaller, is Sferia relatively new to tourism and commands excellent views over the sea and the Peloponnese. Poros town is a pretty and serene place with unbroken views across terracotta-tiled roofs. As you travel through the city, you will get to see a naval station, the clock tower, the ruins of a sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon, a large city library and the archaeological museum.
